Postcard: Ice climber on Montmorency Falls
In mid-February we attended the Féerie hivernale festival at Montmorency Falls, located just outside of Québec City. At 275 feet (84 meters) it’s the highest falls in the province of Québec and is actually 98 feet (30 meters) higher than Niagara Falls. Despite unseasonably warm temperatures that weekend, there were still plenty of ice climbers all over the side of the falls. I found it fascinating to watch this sport that I had only previously seen on TV.
