I just love this love session! Rachelle and Julien are an adorable Franco-American couple living in Lyon. They were such good sports to indulge my suggestion that we try the session outside; it was freezing! But I think Lyon’s Parc de la Tête d’Or is such a gorgeous backdrop in any weather, and besides, what’s more romantic than snuggling up close to your chéri to keep warm?
Way back in November, I got together with my good friends and their darling daughter to take a few shots for their Christmas card. I hadn’t seen them since the little miss was just three months old, so it was great fun getting acquainted with this walking, talking bundle of energy!
Isn’t she gorgeous? This is Hurley, my cousins’ 6-year-old cane corso. Back in April when I was down in Florida for a few weeks, we met up for some burritos at Da Kine Diego’s (the best burritos in Brevard county!) and a mini photo session with Hurley. She was the perfect model, albeit a bit drooly. Pet portraits are not something I get to do a lot of, but I really love it when the opportunity arises.

When traveling in a land with a very wide language barrier, even the smallest tasks become an adventure. Buying tickets, ordering food or obtaining train schedules takes twice as long and is infinitely more fun when everyone has only 3 words in common.
