Postcard from Rovinj, Croatia

Rovinj is a beautiful little Adriatic town located on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. It’s an easy day-trip from various towns in Italy, including Venice, but is also a convenient base from which to explore Istria.

Postcard: Stonehenge

Well we missed seeing Stonehenge on the summer solstice, but it was still quite impressive. Definitely more than just a pile of rocks! I hope one day we can go back and see it in all its glory on a solstice night.

I don’t know if the photo truly conveys the size of this donut or pączek, as they are called in Poland. I would describe it as somewhere in between too big and ginormous. Even by my American standards, this was just too much.
