Strawberry Picking (and eating) on Île d’Orléans

From recent blog entries, one may think that we spend all of our time hiking. It’s true that we do try to get out on the trails as often as possible, but we’ve also been busy with other fun summer activities. Like picking strawberries! Mathieu’s family came for a visit during peak strawberry season, so we took them over to Île d’Orléans for the afternoon. For $7, we picked 3 liters of strawberries which we enjoyed whole, in smoothies and smashed with sugar and cream. They probably should have weighed us before they let us loose in the fields though. We *might* have eaten more than we picked!
